Who We Are

Harold and Bobbie Jackson

Hello, our names are Bobbie and Harold Jackson. Bobbie was born in Anchorage Alaska and moved to the Soldotna Family Homestead in 1959, where Jackson Gardens and the Peaceful Acres Cabins are located. Harold Was Born In Arizona And Moved To Alaska In 1961.

Our unique garden property is nestled on a 10-acre organic U-Pick garden located 7 miles south of Soldotna, offering a true farm-to-table experience with fresh berries, vegetables, and flowers. We started selling our garden products to the public in 1979 and expanded to vegetables in 2019.

Because we have been so blessed once a year in September we like to give back to our community as we host a FREE fall carnival with hay rides. It is a family friendly event and includes cotton candy, chocolate fountain, popcorn, lemonade, face painting, flower arrangements, 30 carnival games where children earn tickets to exchange for prizes. You may bring your own food or purchase food at the Jackson Gardens Carnival. Currently we sell organic fruit slushes, chili, hot dogs, chilidogs, nachos, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fresh salad, cheesecake with fruit sauce, carrot cake, cowboy candy and chips with jalapeno cheese dips.  Also we will offer products from the local company Wild Currant Alaska which includes kombucha, kefir, fermented vegetables, organic sourdough pretzels, sugar free gluten free muffins, brownies and popsicles. The carnival is usually on the 3rd Saturday of September from noon until 5 PM.

We also own and operate the Peaceful Acres Cabins which we first offered on AirBNB, VRBO, and Booking.com in 2024. We have three wonderful cabins and one roomy triplex, of which cabin six was built in 2023. Recently we expanded to being open all year round for short or long term rentals. We are still expanding Peaceful Acres and would be honored if you considered a stay and took advantage of the U-Pick specials that are included.

We are both true Alaskans and we would love to share our 10 acre U-Pick gardens with you!  Please consider visiting and experiencing the joy of a natural organic garden!
